A well-groomed nail contour makes a big difference to every manicure. Émollient Efficace does not simply strip away the cuticles aggressively; instead, it specifically softens hardened skin and small areas of residual skin. This makes them easier to push back in a more controlled way, leaving the visible nail plate looking cleaner and more even.
This is not just beneficial visually: the cleaner and less greasy the nail plate is before polishing, the better Base Coat or colored polish can adhere. That is why the cuticle softener should ideally be used before Base Coat and nail polish as part of your manicure routine.

The deliberately streamlined formula consists of just four ingredients and focuses on two tasks: softening the cuticles while preserving moisture.
- Glycerin is a proven moisturizing agent and helps keep the skin around the nail supple.
- Potassium Hydroxide provides the actual softening effect. It loosens hardened areas of skin, making it easier to push back or remove cuticles and dead skin flakes.
- Carbomer gives the water-based formula its gel-like consistency and enables precise application along the nail contour.
The formula consists of 97% biobased ingredients and contains no oils. Nevertheless, excess product should be completely removed after use and the nail plate degreased before polishing.

How to Use
- Apply Émollient Efficace to the clean, dry nail contour. One drop per nail is sufficient.
- Leave on for approximately 2 minutes.
- Then gently push back the softened cuticles with a cuticle pusher.
- Gently remove dead skin residue - do not cut the cuticles unnecessarily.
- Thoroughly remove excess product.
- Before polishing, carefully degrease the nail plate so that no residue affects adhesion.
- For this, the Manucurist Nail Polish Remover Green is suitable, for example.
- Then apply Base Coat and nail polish as usual.
- For regular care, application about once a week is generally sufficient.

What is a cuticle softener or Cuticle Remover?

Does Émollient Efficace remove the cuticles completely?
No. The product softens cuticles and dead skin flakes. They are then gently pushed back, and loose skin residue is removed.

Should I cut the cuticles afterward?
Generally, no. Gently pushing them back is gentler and preserves the cuticles' natural protective function. Only clearly loose skin residue should be carefully removed.
Do I need to remove the product before polishing?
Yes. Excess product should be completely removed and the nail plate then degreased. This supports good adhesion of Base Coat and nail polish.
Can I apply nail polish directly afterward?
Yes. Once residue has been removed and the nail plate degreased, you can continue with your manicure as usual.
