The French Apple Oil by ODEN is one of those wonderfully simple products where the quality of the raw ingredient says almost everything. It consists of French organic apple seed oil and natural vitamin E – this exceptional treatment needs nothing more.

The apples grow in Normandy and Brittany, where they are processed to make cider. Their seeds remain as a valuable raw material. Instead of leaving them unused, they are collected and gently cold-pressed. This produces a rare botanical oil with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids as well as naturally occurring phytosterols and polyphenols.

On the skin, the apple seed oil has a fine, dry texture. It absorbs quickly, nourishes without feeling heavy, and leaves the skin soft, supple and pleasantly nourished. It is especially lovely for dull, tired-looking or dehydrated skin that could use more elasticity and radiance.

This oil is also something special from a sensory perspective: Its distinctive, natural scent delicately recalls almonds and frangipane – without any added fragrance.

How to use

In the morning and/or evening, apply 2–3 drops to cleansed, dry skin on the face and neck and massage in gently.

For a multi-step routine, apply a hydrating serum first, followed by the French Apple Oil, and finish with a face cream if needed.

ODEN also recommends using the oil as an intensive treatment for three to four weeks when, for example, the skin looks dull or feels less supple after winter.

Which skin types is ODEN French Apple Oil suitable for?
The oil is generally suitable for all skin types. Its strengths are particularly apparent on dry, dehydrated, dull or less supple skin. Thanks to its lightweight, dry texture, it is also a lovely choice for people who find many facial oils too heavy.

Is French Apple Oil very rich or greasy?
No. Apple seed oil has a comparatively fine, dry texture and absorbs quickly. Two to three drops are enough for the face and neck.

Why is apple seed oil so special?
Apple seed oil is a relatively uncommon botanical oil. For ODEN, the seeds come from organically grown French apples that are processed into cider. The valuable by-product created in the process is collected and cold-pressed – a particularly beautiful combination of regional agriculture, resource conservation and high-quality skincare.

Does the oil smell like apples?
Not like a classic fruity apple scent. The unrefined oil has its own subtle, slightly gourmand fragrance, reminiscent more of almond and frangipane. It contains no added fragrance.

Can I combine the oil with a cream?
Yes. For additional hydration, use a serum first, then massage in a few drops of the oil and finish with a cream if needed. It also combines beautifully with the ODEN Crème Hydratante.

Can French Apple Oil be used during pregnancy?
Yes. ODEN approves the oil for use during pregnancy. The formula contains no essential oils.
