The Manucurist Strengthening Base Coat - formerly Base Force - is a strengthening base coat for soft, thin and very flexible nails that bend, split or fold easily. The care formula with AHA, PHA and silicon supports the strength of the nail plate, protects it during everyday activities and can be used both as a strengthening treatment and as a base coat under Green™ nail polish.

The Strengthening Base Coat is the targeted choice when your nails stand out less for severe damage than for lack of stability: they feel soft, bend easily and therefore split or fold more quickly. This is precisely how it differs from Base S.O.S., which is more focused on nails that are already damaged and peeling.

Worn alone, the Base Coat acts as a simple strengthening nail treatment. Under Green™ color polish, it also forms the protective foundation of your manicure.

The Strengthening Base Coat combines smoothing acids with a silicon-based care ingredient and a protective polish base. This cares for soft nails while also providing better mechanical protection against everyday stress.

• AHA in the form of glycolic acid supports a smoother and more even-looking nail surface and complements the strengthening-focused care.
• PHA in the form of gluconolactone is especially gentle, binds moisture and thereby supports the suppleness of the nail plate.
• Silicon complements the formula specifically for soft and thin nails and supports a firmer, more resilient appearance.
• The film-forming base covers the nail with a protective layer and helps stabilize it against everyday mechanical stress.

The formula consists of 84% bio-based ingredients. Plant-based and renewable raw materials replace a large proportion of conventional petrochemical raw materials.

How to use

• Apply the Strengthening Base Coat to the clean, dry and grease-free natural nail.
• As a base coat: Apply a thin layer and allow it to dry completely in the air.
• Then apply two thin coats of the desired Green™ color polish and seal with a suitable top coat.
• As a strengthening treatment: Apply directly to the natural nail twice a week.
• When using it as a treatment, the previous layer does not necessarily need to be removed before reapplication.
• One layer of the Strengthening Base Coat is sufficient.
• A UV or LED lamp is not required.
• For a Green Flash™ manicure, use only the Green Flash™ Base Coat intended for this purpose.
• For removal, use Manucurist Nail Polish Remover Green.

What is the difference from Vitamin Base Coat?
Vitamin Base Coat is the versatile standard base for normal to slightly stressed nails and also supports the adhesion of Green™ color polish. Strengthening Base Coat is specifically designed for nails that lack strength and stability.

What is the difference from Base S.O.S.?
Strengthening Base Coat is for soft nails that bend or deform easily. Base S.O.S., on the other hand, is intended for already more severely damaged, brittle and peeling nails, for example after demanding manicures.

Can I wear Strengthening Base Coat on its own?
Yes. It can be used as a standalone strengthening treatment.

Can I apply Green™ color polish over it?
Yes. Strengthening Base Coat can be used as a base coat under all classic Green™ color polishes.

Can I use it under Green Flash™?
No. For optimal wear, the Green Flash™ system requires its own LED-curing base coat.

How often should I apply it as a treatment?
Manucurist recommends using it twice a week.

Do I need to remove the old layer before each new application?
When using it as a treatment, this is not necessary. Another thin layer can be applied over it.
